Salvation Army Bell Ringing a success!
Dave Whelden reported that we raised $6700 for the Salvation Army. While the Urichio's/Sequoia Sandwich Crew earned an impressive $472 per hour (the number of hours worked was never revealed), it was once again the humble Wells Fargo team that earned the highest total.

CALM Light Show
According to USA Today, the CALM Christmas light show is one of the top 10 light shows in the country.

Program
It was the Pat Collin's show today. And, while not the most titillating presentation, it was nevertheless informative.
The brilliant idea to start a foundation for the club, instead of just blowing everything we raised each year, was from a guy named Ward Waterman. And for lack of a better name for the foundation, they used his. In any case, since 1984 it has slowly grown as a managed wealth account.
Enough so that we were able to award over $600,000 in scholarships since its inception. In addition, in the last eight years, we have granted over $400,000 for capital projects for Kern County organizations and businesses. A few of them are: $75K Solar project for PAL, $75K for the Jamison center solar installation, and a new HVAC system for the Buena Vista Natural History Museum.
