Editor Updates
So- I'm back again. The editor this month was supposed to be newbie Rotarian, Ryan Crowl. Well, it turns out he's a commercial pilot- so he's sort of always on call. Rich people with jets got him on speed dial.
Next month Jean Luc Slagle will be your guest editor. He won't even break a sweat, because we're going to be dark on July 6th and the 13th.
President Jim's Demotion
So ex-president Justin Leland somehow managed to pull off a legend demotion. Largely in part to his closet comedian sidekick, Nik "Booniater" Boone, and the guy that pulled off the amazing gameshow graphics, Jean Luc Slagle.
The premise was a mish-mash of game shows, where Rotarian "contestants" had to answer some really obscure questions. Correction, "failed" to answer obscure questions. Nevertheless, we learned some deep dark secrets about Jim that probably would have disqualified him from being president in the first place.
Jim was in a pretty good mood, all things considered. It was announced in the paper that he had been hired as "the county’s chief economic development officer". For about $190k a year, he'll be bringing some of his stellar business decision-making processes to benefit Kern County. Let's hope he doesn't sell us to Tulare.
It's surprising how a Luigi's New York steak lunch can bring so many absentee members out of the woodwork. Even Duane Keathley was there!
