Aaron grew up in Bakersfield and graduated from Stockdale High School. He has a degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Masters of Business Administration degree from California State University, Bakersfield. He also completed the U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff College as a civilian. Aaron lives in Bakersfield with his wife Lauren and daughter Mia.

Maddy Institute
The Maddy Institute stands as a respected, nonpartisan hub for public policy education and civic leadership in California’s Central Valley. Under Blake Zante—an experienced alumnus and government professional—the Institute continues to grow its academic partnerships, enhance student programming, and broaden its media reach through initiatives like The Maddy Report.
Blake introduced The Maddy Institute to DT Rotary. Headquartered at Fresno State, they travel across the Central Valley to collaborate and convene policy discussions. They frequently partner with CSUB and Kern Community Foundation on events in Bakersfield. Blake also gave an update on the evolving state budget process and possible outcomes. It doesn’t look great.
