1. Kirsten Beale states that CSUB has been chosen as one of two CSU campuses (out of 23 campuses!) to host listening sessions that will assist in the search for the new CSU Chancellor. CSUB will host a session on Wednesday, February 8 @ 12:00 at the CSUB Dore Theater that is open to the public to attend. 

 

2. Jeff Guiterrez states that his family is enjoying the adaptive aquatic classes at McMurtrey.  He mentions the power of Rotary and how he was able to connect with a fellow Rotarian to update the equipment at the water park. 

 

3. Pete Pankey acknowledges the success of the 4 KHSD schools that advanced and received awards in the virtual enterprise business program. 

 

4. Guest Monica Zeypien invited Rotarians to attend Bottle Shock on February 11 for an event that raises funds for families with special needs. 

 

5.  President Jim notes that fellow Rotarian, John Moorehouse, has passed away.

Ken Burhman introduces Mike Butler and Bailey Scott from the Independence through Grace Foundation, a non profit organization working to provide enrichment, employment, and mentorship for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities (IDD). The team speaks about setting the bar high for the IDD community and encourages Rotary to become involved by providing volunteer and mentor opportunities to those at Independence through Grace.
