President Justin treated us to a very tasty off-site meeting at Luigi's Warehouse venue. Located right next store to the legendary restaurant, this venue has it all going on! I'm sure the open bar was a ploy to loosen up the wallets and purses for this Waterman fundraiser.
Traco Matthews opened up with a lighthearted invocation. Then Garro and guest musician Mike Peters sang a patriotic duet. After that, I don't think there was anything seriously planned.
Justin awkwardly looked to past president, Pat Collins, for help and received nothing. With no other thought he then just started shouting out random amounts of money and asked for a commitment by a show of hands. This along with some dubious Silent Auction items managed to raise a decent amount of money.
Keep in mind, this number is coming from one of the Moneywise Guys, so it could be a little high OR low, but as of press time, the amount raised that day was $29,210. So with the triple matching multiplier, that number balloons up to $116,840 for the Waterman foundation!
We are dark this week- Happy Easter!
Mr. Organization himself, President Justin, reads from a blank piece of paper pretending to be an event program.
A pretty good crowd showed up for the Waterman Fundraiser.
Tracy Matthews with the invocation.
Random silent auction items included a boat trip with Dave Whelden, Steak dinner for eight with Pat Collins, an ambitious hike with Justin and a Living Trust from Garro Ellis.
Good to see Mary back in the saddle!
