Helping Why not youth centres

the program

A joint initiative started in 2017 between the two Rotary Clubs of Brantford was formed.  The Rotary Club of Brantford and the Brantford Sunrise Rotary Club have partnered with Why Not City Mission to provide a healthy home cooked meal to children in Brantford who are in need.

Our clubs volunteer on the first Tuesday of every month to prepare and serve dinner for the kids at the Why Not Youth Centre.  Every month each Rotary Club provides 4 volunteers to help make this initiative a reality.  The dinner is not only an avenue to feed those in need but also to mentor the kids if they are looking for a "big brother or big sister".  The goal of this program is to provide a warm and home cooked meal and an area of safety for the kids in our community who need it the most.

This program has been started and looks to be something that is sustainable each and every year because of the time commitment that our two clubs have decided to provide.  We are devoted to helping the children, kids, and teenagers in Brantford and this is one of the ways we give back to those kids instead of monetary help.
