Joining us on Friday, September 12th was Jane McClure, from the League of Women Voters of Snohomish County. Jane has been an active member of the League board and the statewide association. The League is 105 years old which started with the women's right to vote in 1919 after seven decades of trying to allow women the Right to Vote.
The goal of the League is to promote fair elections, improve ballot access and provide Voter Education for all interested citizens. Voter Education-Vote 411 provides information on all of the candidates. The League is promoting a Student Video contest encouraging kids to get involved and understand the importance of their individual vote. The deadline for the Student Video contest is May 9th.
