Our program this week includes a presentation by Tonya Christofferson about the Lake Stevens Sewer District. She'll give an update on all that's happening within the District's service area and how all of the new housing developments are having an impact.

We welcome Luke Emerson to our Club. He is the Pastor at Elim Lutheran Church here in Lake Stevens. He and his wife, Kelly, have two children and live in town. The Membership Directory has been updated. You can access the Directory in your My ClubRunner section of your Admin page after you have logged in.

Club President Kevin O'Brien and Membership Chair Ron Rasmussen welcomed new member, Pastor Luke Emerson to our Club on Friday morning. Pastor Luke was sponsored by Dean Franz. Please welcome Luke to our Club.

Club Assembly-Committee Engagement

At last Friday morning's Club Assembly meeting, Jim Haugen talked about the importance of every member serving on at least one committee. Plus, each committee was in need of a Vice-Chairman. This is a departure from our past but important to engage every member on a committee. Committee sign up sheets were distributed and so far 15 members have returned their sheets to Club Secretary, Gary O'Rielly. They are due by the end of the year please.

Each member was asked to make three choices of your preferred committee that you would like to serve on. Each member was asked to rank their committee choices by first choice, second choice and third choice.

Our Club is looking for a candidate or candidates for President-Nominee who would potentially serve as Club President for the 2020-2021 Rotary Year as well.

Our Club has the following committees:

Avenue of Community Service
Avenue of International Service
Avenue of Vocational Service
Membership
Programs
Public Relations
Lake Stevens Rotary Foundation

If you have not had the opportunity or missed Friday's meeting, Committee Sign up sheets will be distributed at this Friday's meeting. The forms will be put on the website, passed out at the next two meetings and sent by Club email. Your Committee assignments along with any tasks and commitments that you have made for events are listed at the end of your weekly bulletin. Committee Chairs can also look at their teams via the Committee Management link in the Membership Manager section of the My ClubRunner Admin page. You must be logged in to see this. Further, Committees have full access to our website's Committee module features including messaging, file storage and more.

Board Meeting

Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am. There is a robust continental breakfast available beforehand. Visitors are always welcome.
