This Week's Meeting
The featured speaker this week will be Deputy Chief Mike Messer of the Lake Stevens Fire Department. Chief Messer is the new Fire Marshal filling the spot held for many years by the much loved Robert Marshall. We are looking forward to welcoming the Messer Family to Lake Stevens.

2016 Scholarships!
On May 20th we awarded over $10,000 in scholarships to six graduating Lake Stevens High School seniors. The student's collective contributions to our community and future goals are truly inspiring. Scholarship criteria included grades, school and community activities, leadership positions, special recognitions, awards and honors. Students also wrote an essay and participated in an interview with Rotarians.

Bailey Hall—New York University, psychology and international relations

Parker Reid—Whitworth University, math education

Karen Hoffman—Carroll College, pediatric cardiothoracic surgery

Katie Ellis—Washington State University, fashion and marketing

Alexis Hepburn—Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Honors Program, aerospace engineering

Parents, Sisters, Friends, Teachers, the High School Principal and School District Administrators joined Rotarians for the presentations to this year's scholarship recipients. Thought of the Week - Who Said It?
