The program was established in 1972 with the passage of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA). John shared a five minute video that described the program and honored the members and employers who help with the program. John lives in Everett and is responsible for the region composed of Snohomish, Island, Skagit and Whatcom Counties. In his spare time, John is a Amateur Radio Operator and has worked with Loren Hole over the years. John commented that there is a process in place alerting a military member to make his or her employer know that they are leaving for military service. The Act does not cover independent contractors.
