This Week's Meeting
Our featured speaker this week is David Rader who will give a presentation about President Teddy Roosevelt. Roosevelt is often considered the first "modern President." This will be a very engaging program.

CONTEST: Be the first person to correctly identify from where the photograph at the top of this bulletin and at the top of our website was taken by 7:30 am, Friday, March 3rd. This photo is a change from previous versions of this same scene. Email the editor.

All in the Steinruck Family
Rotarians are rewarded when one of their children decides to become a member of a local Rotary Club. This is the case involving Evan Steinruck. Evan decided to join the Seattle 4 Rotary Club. His classification is Real Estate. Evan is the son of our own member Jim Steinruck. When children experience their parents involvement in a organization like Rotary, the real reward is when they choose to become a member.

Evan was officially welcomed to the Rotary Club of Seattle on February 8th. Jim was on hand to watch Evan's introduction. Pictured in the photo are Cathy Gibson, Club President, Kim Moored who introduced him to the Club. His sponsors are Nancy Cahill and Jim McCurdy.

Welcome to Rotary as a new member Evan. He is considered a Young Rotary Leader (35 and under).
Member activities
Since we didn't have a program last week, we asked Lance Morehouse, Ron Rassmussen and Jim Steinruck to give us an update on themselves. This wasn't a classification talk but more in the way of personal updates. Lance reported on Sherwood Community Services Wine & Dine Mystery Wine Auction on Friday, March 24th at Swan's Trail Farm. Ron spoke of his activities at Lake Stevens Fire and Jim updated us on his Providence/Tulalip Health Services. Fun time and informal.

Thought of the Week - Who Said It?
"Too many people go through life complaining about their problems. I've always believed that if you took one tenth the energy you put into complaining and applied it to solving the problem, you'd be surprised by how well things can work out."
