This Week's Meeting
Our program this week includes a presentation by Preston Simmons, Chief Executive Officer of Providence Hospital Everett. Providence Hospital has undergone some major changes in the last few years. Mr. Simmons will review those and tell us what's on the horizon for Providence locally and regionally as well as update us on the impacts of health care in general.

Aquafest is upon us! Be ready to start selling Duck Dash tickets. They will be ready very soon. Also, register yourself, family and friends to help out during Aquafest weekend. Passing the Gavel
Each year, July 1 signifies a changing of the guard or the PASSING OF THE GAVEL.  Bill Demeroutis closes out a year of excitement, rewards and generous activities of our members under his leadership. From starting a NEW Interact Club at Lake Stevens High School under the successful leadership of Hayden Ploeger to a highly successful Wine, Beer & Silent Auction. A new Skateboard Park is within reach, a project the club has supported for over 10-12 years, increasing the Scholarship allocation from $5,000 to $10,750 to giving back to the community especially those organizations that are in need of constant financial help to being the sponsors of Lundeen Park. All exceptional activities. Plus we added +2 members this year. Our Facebook and social media pages have increased our visibility through the hard work of Reshal Ploeger.

Members leaving the Board this year, having served for a number of years are Loren Hole, our Treasurer and all around behind the scenes helper with 49 years of PERFECT ATTENDANCE, Terri Spencer, outgoing chair of our Vocational Services Committee and Jim Haugen who is leaving the Secretary's position but still in charge of our Foundation. So many members involved in our various activities, all deserving of high praise and a hearty Thank You for the work done this year and in the past years as well. Then, there's Joyce Bell, always willing to lend Bell Properties for committee and board meeting activities. Joyce, thank you so much.
