This Week's Meeting
At this week's meeting, we will hear from two of our members as they give their Classification Talks. What is a Classification Talk you ask? A member will share a bit about him or herself, their family, occupation, why they joined Rotary and other facts of interest.

Members: Keep working on getting sponsors for this year's Cork & Kegs. We want to secure them so they can be added to the tickets and other promotional materials.

Thank you to those that have signed up to sponsor the weekly breakfast. Please look ahead to late March and beyond to sign up for a meeting. Partnering with another member can help. Contact Club Services Chair Jim Haugen for more information.

PHOTO CONTEST: Be the first person to correctly identify from where the photo at the top of this bulletin and at the top of our website was taken from by 7:30 am Friday, February 14th. Send your guess to the Editor.
Road to Recovery
Our program this week was the Road to Recovery given by Jerri Wood, the American Cancer Society. Currently the American Cancer Society program operates with 20+ volunteer drivers who provide assistance to people who need transportation. Several of the transportation providers are retirees who transport cancer patients to treatments.  Interested providers can to the Cancer.org/volunteer website or call 1-600-227-2345 for more information.

In 2018 there were 1,366 rides and in 2019 there were more than 1,800 plus rides to treatments in our area alone. The American Cancer Society searches for grants to cover the $60,000 in transportation rides cost as part of the Road to Recovery program. Besides providing the transportation needs of cancer patients, volunteer drivers become a source of emotional support for these patients.

The Road to Recovery transportation program provides a variety of options for patients in need. From volunteer drivers to Road to Recovery partners, everything is based on available resources through working with local transportation vendors to provide patients assistance to treatment. Patients are given more options by working with a network of community organizations that provide transportation services.

February Rotarian of the Month
In her brief time as a member of our club, Amelia ("Auntie") has made an impact on our members and her "Service Above Self."  As a result, President Laurie applied the Rotarian of the Month pin on Auntie this past Friday as the newest member of the Rotarian of the Month club and this one for February.
