This Week's Meeting
Our first meeting of 2019 finds us back at our usual meeting location the School District Admin Building Community Room. The program will include a presentation by Chief John Dyer of the Lake Stevens Police Department. He will give us a State of the Department report as well as share what's going on with his department and law enforcement in the region.
 
Please note that the Membership form has been updated on our website. Discard any and all previous versions and use the one from the site. Members also received a request to update information on your Profile page of our website. You must log in to update. If you have any questions about accessing the website please contact James Monroe.

2016 Scholarship Winner Update
Alexis Hepburn, 2016 Scholarship Award recipient. returned to our Club this past Friday, December 28th, to give an update on her Emery Riddle Aeronautical University endeavors.
Alexis is studying aerospace engineering concentrating on space at Emery Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ. During Alexis' first year at Emery Riddle she was in a Leadership Engagement program. During the summer following her first year she interned at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. The second year she was a Career Service volunteer at Emery Riddle. This past summer she interned at Honeywell in Phoenix where she started a company program helping Foster Children. Besides interning at Honeywell she got involved actively with the Arizona Helping Hands which is a big program at Honeywell.
 
This coming summer she will intern at Ratheon in Tucson, AZ.  Alexis' goal after graduation is to go to work for a defense contractor.

Congratulations!
Huge congrats to Kendra, Chad and Maia Pinkelman!  They welcomed the newest addition to their familyon December 31st! Ember Jean Pinkelman arrived at 6:40 pm weighing in at 7.3 lbs and measuring 21 1/4 inches. According to Mom, she “came out like a ball of fire with barely two pushes.”  Baby Ember will keep the rest of the Pinkelman’s on their toes!
 
Rest up Family!  Get ready to run!

Our regular Rotary Club Meetings are at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center lower level Community Room located at 12309 22nd St NE. We start at 7:30 am. There is a robust continental breakfast available beforehand. Visitors are always welcome.
