Catherine, born and raised in western New York, is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, earned an MBA from Cornell University and a Masters in Management from the Université de Louvain in Belgium. Her professional career has been spent in banking, international development, strategy consulting and business mediation.

She is transitioning from active mountaineer to armchair mountaineer together with her husband of 30 years whom she met at 14,000ft  when climbing in Soviet Central Asia in the 1980s.  In 2018 she completed a 33 year quest to climb the Seven Summits, and will be attempting her 20th summit of Mt Rainier this summer. In addition to her work and outdoor pursuits, she is an active community volunteer serving on numerous boards (Seattle Goodwill, YMCA, the United Negro College Fund, and the Women’s University Club). She’s a 19 year member of the Seattle #4 Rotary Club where she served as trustee and president of the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation and then as club president three years ago.  She’s on deck to be our District 5030 Governor in 2020-2021.
