SEATTLE ROTARY ONLINE

Seattle Rotary Online is a significant marketing opportunity that is available to organizations that wish to help co-sponsor it. Intended as a library where you can just pull a speaker’s presentation off the shelf, Seattle Rotary Online has been sponsored by First Choice Health CEO, Ken Hamm. Ken is willing to share the financial load (and public awareness!) with companies or other organizations that wish broader awareness within the club or community.

Sponsorships are available for as little as $500Please contact Seattle 4 Rotarian, David Endicott by email or at 206-409-3275.

SRSF Announces Innovative Grant Winners

The Seattle Rotary Service Foundation received six (6) proposals from service committees for its Innovative Grants program.  After a rigorous, systematic evaluation process proposals from three committees were awarded grants totaling $58,000.  Congratulations to:

Community Service Committee   “Science with A Heart” in which Wellspring Family Services will train teachers at preschool care programs in early learning skills to annually benefit 400 children  from difficult family situations.

International Service Committee “Building Refugee Livelihoods.”  In partnership with the Rotary Club of Muyenga, 720 refugees in Kampala, Uganda will be trained in vocations with which they can earn a stable living and some will become trainers themselves.

Peacebuilders Committee  “Rebuilding Spruce Street Crisis Center’s Kitchen”.   The Center and its kitchen serve about 500 at risk youth per year, including some that have suffered sex trafficking.

Seattle Rotary Service Foundation Annual Campaign Status

With two and one-half months left in the Rotary year, Seattle Rotary ‘s Service Foundation has reached $225,000—90% of its “stretch” goal of $250,000.  And, 86% of our members have contributed.  Just 65 Seattle 4 Rotarians still need to make a contribution. With 95 members contributing $1,000 or more, the Foundation is 5% ahead of last year in “Pinkham & Skeel” donors.  Thanks to the SRSF trustees and, in particular, trustee Michael Troyer, the leader of this year’s campaign.
