Amazon HQ2 - Everything you need to know about the biggest headquarters contest ever

 November 29 at Noon
LOCATION CHANGE - Hyatt Olive 8 1635 8th Ave.

GeekWire’s Monica Nickelsburg will lead a conversation with Heather Redman, Co-Founder, Flying Fish Partners and Chair of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Matthew Gardner, Chief Economist with Windermere Real Estate about the economic impact of Amazon and the retail giant’s desire to establish a second headquarters. Amazon promises 50,000 jobs and a $5 billion investment in the new city. As many as 238 municipalities apparently want what we already have in Seattle – should they? We’ll find out what HQ1 has meant to Seattle’s economy and way of life and what a second corporate headquarters means in the long run.

All of the children are from the Rotary Boys & Girls Club and are selected for the program on the basis of need.

SEATTLE ROTARY SERVICE FOUNDATION OPPORTUNITY GRANTS

The Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (SRSF) has announced a new pilot program called “Opportunity Grants”.  SRSF is trying to be responsive to the preferences of our member donors and the needs of our community, recognizing that sometimes our usual structure of annual grants does not make funds available when special opportunities, emergencies, and unique needs arise.

All applications must be received by SRSF by December 1, 2017.
