Seattle Rotary Online is a significant marketing opportunity that is available to organizations that wish to help co-sponsor it. Intended as a library where you can just pull a speaker’s presentation off the shelf, Seattle Rotary Online has been sponsored by First Choice Health CEO, Ken Hamm. Ken is willing to share the financial load (and public awareness!) with companies or other organizations that wish broader awareness within the club or community.
Sponsorships are available for as little as $500Please contact Seattle 4 Rotarian, David Endicott by email or at 206-409-3275.

Inequity in our Community with Dow constantine and Tony Mestres

October 26th at Noon
Renaissance Hotel -  515 Madison St.
A robust and innovative economy, stunning natural beauty, a thriving cultural and arts scene, and an openness to diversity make King County a vibrant home to over 2 million residents. However when we look closer, significant portions of our community are being left behind.
Join King County Executive, Dow Constantine; Seattle Foundation President & CEO, Tony Mestres; and Maud Daudon, President & CEO of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber to learn how our region is addressing the gap.
This week's program is sponsored by Nick Anderson and Pacific Continental Bank.

A thank you, a graduation and a look into the future of mass transportation in Seattle

revisions to the ByLaws - Vote on October 26

On September 29, 2016, the Bylaws of the Rotary Club of Seattle were amended by a supermajority (2/3) vote of the Club’s Board of Directors.
Examples of material changes to the Bylaws are:
  • Allows for an officer or board member to fill a partial term followed by a full term.
  • Changes the size of the board of directors from a set number to a range of 15-25.
  • Allows for board action by unanimous written consent, and to hold meetings by telephone conference.
  • Allows for special meetings by both Club members and the board.
The amended Bylaws require that members of the Seattle Rotary Club vote on the amended Bylaws at a regular Club meeting.    This vote will occur during our lunch meeting on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
You can access the amended Bylaws by logging into Club Runner and clicking on “My Club Runner (in Admin)” and then “View Club Documents.”  Or, click here for the pdf.

Changes to Attendance Policy

In April 2016, the Rotary International Counsel on Legislation passed that Rotary Clubs may relax their attendance requirements.  On August 25, 2016 the Board of Directors for Seattle Rotary adopted this policy.  Going forward, attendance at our regular Rotary lunch meetings will still be captured and reported to the District 5030 Secretary.
What does this mean to you?
  • If you are a Committee Chair or organizer of a Service Project / Fellowship Event, you are not expected to report attendance to the Rotary Office.
  • If you like to show consistency for 100% attendance and you miss a Seattle Rotary lunch, you should self-report your make up at (on the homepage under "Meeting Information")
If you have questions about this policy please contact our Club Secretary Virginia McKenzie at
