Seattle Rotary Service Foundation Annual Report

Over the years, Seattle #4 Rotarians have generously  donated to the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation. To learn about how our club has made this a better world, please click below to see the SRSF Annual Report for 2016-2017.

Seattle Rotary Service Foundation Opportunity Grants

The Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (SRSF) has announced a new pilot program called “Opportunity Grants”.  SRSF is trying to be responsive to the preferences of our member donors and the needs of our community, recognizing that sometimes our usual structure of annual grants does not make funds available when special opportunities, emergencies, and unique needs arise.

All applications must be received by SRSF by December 1, 2017.

Recruits

Unless  protests are received in the time period required (seven days), the following will receive a "Welcome to Rotary" notification that their membership has been accepted:

1. Susan Bean – VP Chief Development Officer, Sound Mental Health – Proposer, Janet Arthur – Individual membership with Healthcare classification
2. Gene Boes – President/CEO of Northweest Center – Proposer, Mike Gano – Individual membership with Nonprofit classification

Wider World of Rotary

In recognition of World Polio Day on October 24, District Governor Alex Hopkins announced a special PolioPlus match for the month of October! Given the importance of continuing the fight against polio, D5030 will provide up to $25,000 in matching District Designated Funds (DDF) against the total individual and club contributions given during the month of October to PolioPlus from our district.
