Support our Rotary Foundations for a Year of Action and Impact!

As Rotarians, we are leaders connecting for extraordinary good –both in our community and around the world.  Together we are eradicating polio and malaria, bringing fresh water to rural villages worldwide to stop the spread of disease, and helping our neighbors in need with housing, healthy foods, and educational opportunities.
Once a year we ask you to fulfill your membership obligations and take action by making two gifts that will impact the world.  One is to the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (SRSF).  The other is to The Rotary Foundation (TRF).  Thank you for taking action now to help our club have a powerful and positive impact on our world.

2019 Rotary International Convention

Unforgettable moments are made at the Rotary International Convention, a place where the Rotary spirit fills the air with a level of energy and enthusiasm you can’t find anywhere else. This is the event where Rotarians unite and take action to create true and lasting change in the world. The 2019 event will be held in Hamburg, Germany June 1-5.

Tour to Fight Malaria

Rotarian Malaria Partners tours malaria eradication projects where the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation has contributed. Earlier this year we visited a large project in Uganda with so much energy and appreciation that we will repeat the tour next May 6-15. Besides learning about malaria initiatives, the group meets Ugandan Rotarians, visits a phenomenal environmentally sensitive resort, and goes on a safari, all in 10 days for less than $200 per day including all meals, hotels, safari game drive and boat trip, private motor coach, chartered air flight, beverages including beer and wine, and gratuities.
In addition, there’s an opportunity to visit the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to visit one of two mountain gorilla habitats in the world.
For more information, the tour agenda can be reached via or contact Larry Granat at

Rotarian Malaria Partners Seeks Senior Executive

Rotarian Malaria Partners is seeking an experienced and passionate Rotarian to develop and lead the organization as its Managing Director, Strategic Engagement.

Rotary Means Business

The Puget Sound Rotary Network is a great resource for Rotarians to share their business with others and learn about products and services offered by other Rotarians in the region.

In Memoriam

Seattle Rotary would like to express our appreciation for the life and contributions of Honorary Consul of Norway Kim Nesselquist who passed on December 7 following a cancer diagnosis earlier in the year.  Kim, who was born in Fredrikstad, Norway, came to the U.S. in 1980 as an international student earning a degree from PLU in political science. He then led a successful career in commercial real estate. Kim became the Honorary Consul of Norway in Washington and Idaho in 1998; he was the President of the Consular Association of Washington in 2015-2016 when Seattle Rotary and the Consular Association began the collaboration to launch our club’s Diplomacy Initiative. Kim was a leader of Norwegian-American affairs both regionally and nationally, contributing on many levels especially in the Western Washington area.  He will be greatly missed.
