Lessons on LEadership

September 6 at Noon
The Westin
1900 5th Ave
Father Stephen Sundborg will explore his twenty years of experience at Seattle University and propose four learnings about leadership applicable to all of us in our Service above Self.  Since becoming president of Seattle University in 1997, his key objectives have been to encourage student-centered education, enhance academic excellence, and develop resources to support a growing student population.  A longtime Rotarian, Father Sundborg leads a comprehensive, independent university of more than 7,500 undergraduate and graduate students and 1,000 faculty and staff members.
Father Sundborg was ordained a Roman Catholic Jesuit priest in 1974 and received a doctorate in spirituality from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome in 1982.

Seattle Rotary Service Foundation Opportunity Grants

The Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (SRSF) has announced a new pilot program called “Opportunity Grants”.  SRSF is trying to be responsive to the preferences of our member donors and the needs of our community, recognizing that sometimes our usual structure of annual grants does not make funds available when special opportunities, emergencies, and unique needs arise.
All applications must be received by SRSF by December 1, 2017.
Applications seeking District funding must apply to SRSF by September 6 to be approved by the District deadline of September 15.
