Seattle Rotary Online is a significant marketing opportunity that is available to organizations that wish to help co-sponsor it. Intended as a library where you can just pull a speaker’s presentation off the shelf, Seattle Rotary Online has been sponsored by First Choice Health CEO, Ken Hamm. Ken is willing to share the financial load (and public awareness!) with companies or other organizations that wish broader awareness within the club or community.
Sponsorships are available for as little as $500. Please contact Seattle 4 Rotarian, David Endicott by email or at 206-409-3275.

Coming up March 8th...
Scoring Death: How The UW's Innovative Health Data Guides Research Around the World
Dr. Chris Murray and the institute he founded at UW, The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, are collecting the best evidence in the world for how people die and what messes up the quality of people's lives. IHME is at the core of the Gates Foundation's recent gifts to UW of over a half billion dollars. Dr. Murray will tell us how accurate numbers are fundamentally reshaping global health research and care.
We have now collectively raised $209,038.72. This means we are over 80% of the way to meeting our fundraising goal of $250,000.
Let's wrap up this campaign. Keep in mind:
It's not too late qualify as Pinkham and Steel Circle member. All donors who contribute $1,000 or more during the Rotary year are eligible.
Stock donations can count toward your contribution.
Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) can be donated tax-free.
On behalf of the Foundation Trustees, thank you to all of you who have already made your contributions. We look forward to the participation of the rest of the members. We need your help.
Join fellow Rotarians and Northwest Immigration Rights staff after Rotary on March 8th from 1:30-2:30 to continue the conversation on immigration. Our meeting will be held at Bell Harbor Convention Center on that date.
Please join us for the After Party at the Frye Art Museum on March 16 from 5PM to 7PM. We will meet in the Museum Café for social hour (Beer and wine is available for purchase). Afterwards, museum staff will take us into the gallery and tell us about Charles Frye’s favorite painting. We will also learn about the museum’s Creative Aging Program which is designed to enrich the lives of older adults suffering from dementia. Space is limited to 20, so please RSVP.
The annual Winners for Life Reception and Luncheon, sponsored by the Youth, Schools and Early Education Committee, is seeking Rotarian Hosts for the March 29th event.
The Hosts will not be expected to contribute anything monetarily…but they will be asked to help make our Winners and their guests comfortable, and devote the time for the 11 a.m. reception followed by the noon luncheon at the Washington State Convention Center.
Please sign-up today…March 29th will be here soon! The sign-up deadline is Friday, March 3rd.

Wider World of Rotary
Seattle #4 member, Kirk Greene is an unofficial “49%" member in the Santa Barbara Rotary Club. He recently played guitar at an annual talent show to raise money to buy music instruments for local schools (much like our Music4Life program). He played “Hey Good Lookin (what you got cookin’) and was a big hit! Kirk will be back in Seattle at the end of March.
Three cheers for Seattle City Rotaract!!
Seattle City Rotaract, who Seattle #4 sponsored two years ago, is thriving! They just announced their next President-Elect Rekha Mathew. She is the one in the middle of the front row with the big beaming smile! We are all so happy to see Seattle City Rotaract enter their third year with so much momentum. Look for your opportunity to meet some of these fine young leaders on May 3 when they join us for the World Vision kit build at lunch that day.
