Your Rotary Story

June 27 at Noon
Hyatt Olive 8, 1635 8th Ave

Club President Mark Wright will celebrate his final meeting by showcasing inspiring stories of Service Above Self. He will lead a conversation with Past President Nancy Osborne, Ben Linford, Faouzi Sefrioui and 2015 District 5030 Rotarian of the Year Navkiran Bains. How did they discover Rotary? What inspires them to engage in service projects? What are their hopes and dreams for our Rotarian community? Mark will also ask YOU to share your stories following the panel discussion. And, you don’t want to miss Don Kraft’s #4Bits finale.

SRSF Supports FareStart & Seattle's Growing Pains

Totem Report June 20, 2018
By Pete DeLaunay
Meet Stacie Sherman

JOIN THE WINNERS FOR LIFE TASK FORCE

The Seattle Rotary Education Committee is launching a task force to re-think how to best manage and execute our Winners For Life project.  It’s a club favorite project that connects us with 40+ amazing Seattle students year in and year out.  At the same time, managing $25,000+ annual scholarships to 10+ scholars is a complicated project that requires a lot of dedication and support from education committee members and club volunteers.   We need your help. We must ensure that we have the right process combined with Rotary service power to provide the students with the quality and support that they deserve.  Please join us in this effort to make Winners For Life the best project it can be and email Lori Walker at lwalkerseattle@gmail.com if you would like to be on the task force.

President's Party Highlights

Members gathered at the Queen City Yacht Club to celebrate another successful year. Highlights included the poetic stylings of Pete DeLaunay:

Rotarians gathered because they care
to comment a bit about Mark’s hair
In the spirit of Mark, he’s called Mr. Nice
Rotarians respectfully offer some advice

Of course, he can wear it however he may,
but Rotarians all suggested he get rid of the gray.
Some color would be much better they said
So everyone voted to make Mark a REDHEAD!
