Volunteer Opportunity with  Special Olympics
August 18-20
Everett Area
Special Olympics Washington, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to promoting respect, acceptance, inclusion and human dignity for people with intellectual disabilities through sports, is looking for volunteers to help out at our 2017 Summer Games from August 18-20. The Summer Games this year will be an exciting, culminating championship event for athletes across the state in golf, softball, bocce, paddleboarding, and tennis. Volunteer opportunities are numerous, and you do not need sporting experience to participate.
Movie Screening: Finding Kind
Saturday, August 26
11:30am-2:00pm @ The Edmonds Theater, 415 Main St, Edmonds
Almost every girl has experienced girl-against-girl bullying. Unfortunately, almost every girl has also contributed to bullying. Help give them the tools to end the cycle by attending a screening of the IndieFlix Foundation Film: Finding Kind.
Inspired by our speaker, Scilla Andreen, and hosted by Girl Scout Troop 41002, this two-hour event is designed for girls in 5th through 12th grades and is open to all Rotarians. The program includes a movie and facilitated discussion.
Cost: $8 per person. Early bird discounted price of $6 available through June 30.
Kindly Hosted by: Girl Scout Senior Troop 41002
