ISC Committee is thrilled to announce our guest speaker for our monthly Committee meeting to be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 10:30 at the Skinner Building located at 1326 5th Ave, Seattle, at the 7th-floor conference room. 

 Zainab Al-Tameemi is a  physician from Iraq. She was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq, and obtained her medical degree from Baghdad College of Medicine. She was awarded the Fulbright Foreign Student Program Scholarship and graduated from the University of Washington with Master of Public Health.

Dr. Al-Tameemi completed her residency in primary health care in Iraq. She is the founder and manager of the Iraqi/Arab Health Board in Washington, and a member of Community Health Boards Coalition at Public Health - Seattle & King County. 

Dr. Al-Tameemi is passionate about clinical research that addresses health disparities affecting refugees and immigrants in Washington state. She is an advocate for culturally sensitive health services for minority populations in Washington.
