McMoran,the Director of the WSU Skagit County
Extension Center. Don will tell us about the 'Skagit
Magic' that makes the Skagit Valley some of the best
farmland in the state (did you know the value of
Skagit's brussell sprout crop is more than $9,999,999.99!). Make sure you are there to learn about the Big 12 crops, what's currently cool in agriculture, and why WSU is easily the best university in the Pacific Northwest.

Club Giving Plate Presentation
In the past our club's Giving Plate has been presented to club members who truly understand the actions behind 'Service Above Self.'
This Friday the plate will be returned to circulation during a special presentation to a beloved club member.

Alzheimer's Walk:HAVE YOU SIGNED UP YET??? Join the Club's Alzheimers walk team at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10th. for a 2-mile walk (c'mon it's only two miles). Proceeds to support Alzheimer's Research. Please contact Kaaren Flint, for more info.
Mama Mia Warm Up!
As we hope you know, the theme of this year's auction is 'Mama
Mia, Here We Go Again.' To help you get humming the movie's
songs and get your auction switch turned on, the September
social committee has arranged for a free showing
of Mama Mia Here We Go Again on Sunday, September
11th at Mount Vernon's Lincoln Theatre. The time has not been finalized but we are thinking about 1 p.m. This special presentation is for club members, friends, family and, especially everyone attending the auction. Clear your calendar for that afternoon, clear your throats for an Abba songfest, and start asking people to attend the auction. Expect more information on the movie soon.
