Join Us At An Earth Day Event For All Ages
This year’s international Earth Day theme is ‘Invest In Our Planet’ and our Club’s Environmental Committee can help you make the investment locally when you join us on Earth Day, Saturday April 22nd.
Our club is partnering with the Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Task Force to Restore the Skagit Land Trust's Utopia Conservation Area on Wiseman Creek east of Sedro Woolley. This is a family-friendly event open to anyone who can walk down a slightly uneven and possibly muddy trail to the planting site and plant native plants or help remove invasive species. We will work in the morning, then enjoy different activities for all ages to celebrate nature including:
Lunch courtesy of Jersey Mike’s Subs and LaFeen’s doughnuts
Investigation Stations to learn about important parts of the ecosystem
Raffle (Free entry to all participants)
The Earth Day event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd. Dress to get dirty and get outside this Earth Day!
