Working Together To Solve Challenges of Homelessness

This Friday Jason Easton, Community Outreach Coordinator for the Northstar Project, will update us on the progress being made to address homelessness in Skagit County. The Northstar Project began in 2022 as a collaborative effort by the cities of Anacortes, Burlington, Mount Vernon, Sedro-Woolley, and Skagit County to address the myriad issues associated with the homeless in our communities.

Don't Wait! A Few Luck O' The Irish Tickets Left!

Great news! If you have not registered for the Luck O' The Irish fundraiser we have opened up a limited number of new tickets!

This fundraiser is your opportunity to help raise funds for the YES teams international service project, and, depending on your luck, go home with a few bucks from a fun gambling game (be sure to bring $1 bills). The evening even includes dinner catered by Shawn O'Donnell's and drinks by sommelier and cicerone Steve Gates.

This year's YES team project is a to plaster and paint the school walls in Las Delicias, (near Copan Ruinas) Honduras. Students will also install a playground and do a variety of activities with the Honduran students, and rehab the playground at the school in Barbasco Cabañas.
Tickets for Luck O' The Irish are $65 and can be purchased online by clicking here: Luck O' The Irish tickets or from Suzanne Radenkovic.

This event is from 5 - 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 4th at the Burlington Community Center, 1011 Greenleaf Ave. Can't make it? You can still help by clicking the link and making a donation to the YES team.
