Homeland Security
Apr. 21, 2023
I was born and raised on Whidbey Island. I attended Eastern Washington University where I competed in cross-country and track, graduating with a degree in History. I later obtained a Master’s Degree from Gonzaga University. I was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy serving as an aviation intelligence officer with Electronic Attack Squadron 140 stationed oddly enough at NAS Whidbey Island. Since 2009 I have been a Special Agent with United States Homeland Security Investigations conducting criminal investigations into financial fraud, narcotics trafficking, and child exploitation. I am the father to a daughter, son, cat, and grandfather to a tortoise named Steve. I enjoy boating, crabbing, hiking, cycling, watching my daughter play softball, and listening to my son talk about dinosaurs.
I will be speaking about the history of Homeland Security Investigations, its mission areas, and the agency’s presence in the local area.
