Whatcom County Rotary Clubs

The Rotary Clubs in Whatcom County often come together to help the community. Whatcom County is lucky to have a number of Clubs that are very active in building community. When considering joining a Rotary Club, it is important to consider not only how the location and meeting times work, works out, but also the Club culture, how the Club serves the community, and expectations for how you can get involved.
Bellingham Bay Rotary Club

Meets at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club 3729 Meridian Street Bellingham, Washington at noon Tuesdays

The Bellingham Bay Rotary Club, also known as the "Tuesday Club", meets regularly for fun, fellowship, and planning service work.  They focus on a "major project" and have contributed between $50K and $100K to local organizations both large and small. Some of larger donations have been to the construction of the end-of-life Hospice House, the rebuilding of the Bellingham Food Bank, the remodel of the P.A.D. shelter (temporary housing for homeless youth) for Northwest Youth Services, and the swim docks at Bloedel-Donovan Park.

They support students at Squalicum High School, Whatcom Community College and Bellingham Technical College with scholarships and also also get out in the community to volunteer. Internationally, they have completed several successful projects in Honduras to provide better access to clean water and improve sanitation and they contribute to our parent organization, Rotary International, to support its efforts to finally eradicate polio worldwide.
