This guy is bringing new fresh blood to this Nosforatu club. Let's all make him feel at home. And how about recruiting some younger people so Zach doesn't feel so all alone?

President Sandy presented the RCOB’s Club Service Award to Past President Brad Burdick.  Brad has been a member for 21 years and has served the club in many capacities, the most recent being the organizer for our recent fund raisers Whacky Wickets and Vegas Night.  Thank you Brad!

Mike Diehl was presented a Paul Harris +1 pin. Way to go guy...

Program:

Outgoing president Sandy reflected on the highlights of his term of office:  the Galbraith Mountain parking lot major project, raising funds for the Starfish Backpack program, the blood drive, Christmas bell ringing, raising funds during the government shutdown for our local Coast Guard station, Vegas Night, Rotation Day, the Rise Against Hunger work party, Sunnyland Memorial clean up, the growth of the RCOB Scholarship fund, participation in the Memorial Day parade, the Vendovi Island cruise, and the student exchange program.  He also recognized the organizers of each endeavor.  The RCOB was awarded the District 5050 Presidential Citation, one of 11 out of 58 clubs in the district to do so.

Sandy then introduced and thanked the outgoing leadership team:

Cathy Buckley – President Elect
Teri Treat – Past President
Gary Goldfogel – Vice President and Program Chair
Steve Gray – Treasurer
Monty McAllister – Director
Paula McCandlis – Director
Mike Diehl – Director
Roland Trenouth – Director
Sandee Lindhout – Executive Secretary

Past president Chuck Snyder gave some comments about Sandy’s administration, comparing him to “the Imelda Marcos of Hats,” and of the adventures of the Mad Hatter in “Alice in Wonderland.” Soon-to-be-ex-prexy Sandy was presented with a Mad Hatter's hat, to complete his collection.

Incoming president Cathy shared some experiences of the recent Rotary International Convention in Hamburg and announced the new Rotary motto:  Rotary Connect the World.
