Provides $92,000 in Scholarships for 2020-2021

The Rotary Club of Bellingham is comprised of over 150 community leaders who, individually and as a group, exemplify the highest personal and business standards by their:
  • Bold vision and high aspirations;
  • Consistent acts of generosity and service to the greater community;
  • Encouragement and mentorship of others who aspire to the same; and
  • Participation in Club activities: fundraising, committee work, or in meetings and events.
Our members also gain from their involvement in Rotary in various ways and to varying degrees including:
  • Making new friends and enjoying Club fellowship;
  • Being of service to the community and beyond;
  • Taking opportunities to travel on Club projects;
  • Participating in Rotary events outside our Club;
  • Attending meetings at other Rotary clubs around the world; and
  • Recommending new members who share in our shared values and  commitment to service.
Our Club’s vision for service is summarized through these Avenues of Service:
1. Club Service:
Our Club is notable for the high level of member participation in Club events and activities.  We very much enjoy the fascinating and informative programs presented at meetings.
2. Vocational Service
Our Club supports our community’s youth in developing their understanding of business, ethics, and the financial aspects of life.  To better achieve this purpose, we sometimes partner with specialized organizations in this field; and, Our Club supports projects and organizations in the community that create new jobs.
3. Community Service and Fund Raising
Each year, our Club raises funds for a major impact project and/or for the RCOB Foundation.  All members participate through personal donations and by acquiring donations from across our community.
4. International Service
We consistently engage in a significant multi-year international project, often partnering with other Rotary clubs.
5. Rotary Foundation
Our Club supports the world-wide Rotary Foundation in many ways:
  • We contribute funding;
  • We award Paul Harris Fellowships to deserving Club members and outstanding citizens; and
  • We educate our members about the Foundation’s purpose and impact to create an understanding of how we can cooperate with the Foundation for our mutual benefit.
Since 1917 the Rotary Club of Bellingham has been engaged in Service to the Community and the World. Ours is a tradition we honor...and if you feel you would be interested in visiting one of our meetings, please click on the home page "To Join Us" link to contact one of our Members who will tell you more about the process and obligations of becoming a member our Club.
