Phillips 66 Journey to Process and Environmental Excellence - Part 1

 It is Part 1 of a three-part series on the Environment.  This is the 7th and newest Area of Focus for RI.

Carl Perkins is general manager of the Ferndale Refinery for Phillips 66, a diversified energy manufacturing and logistics company. He has 29 years of experience in various project and refining leadership roles.

Previously, Perkins served as general manager San Francisco, operations manager at the Billings, Ponca City and Alliance Refineries, maintenance manager at the Billings and Los Angeles Refineries and technical manager at the Borger Refinery.

Perkins began his career in 1991 at the Ponca City Refinery in the Project Division.  In 1999, he moved from projects to maintenance at the Billings Refinery.  Carl held various positions in maintenance and reliability supervision and was promoted in 2004 to Maintenance Manager at the Billings Refinery.

Perkins earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in 1991.
