Wealth On Any Income
Oct. 19, 2017
Please come join our Rotary Club for a special program to be held at the Porter Valley Country Club on October 19, 2017 starting at 12:10 PM. Our guest speaker is Mr. Rennie Gabriel and he will tell us all about how to create wealth. As a highly rated instructor at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA), Rennie uses his award-winning, best-selling book, Wealth On Any Income, to teach effective money skills from both the emotional/psychological aspects as well as the practical components. His book has been translated into five languages. Rennie is a retired Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) and often adds BFD to his credentials. His clients range from financial professionals, like CPAs, stock brokers and financial planning firms, to entrepreneurs in the transformational space, like coaches, authors and speakers. He also works with large organizations like the FBI, American National Insurance and Toyota Motors. Rennie had gone broke twice (two divorces), but using the same concepts published in his book, Rennie created more wealth in each recovery than what he had prior. Rennie was a single parent for about 3 years after his first wife left. His two children have given him four grandchildren. Rennie is married for the last time to Dianne Merryl, who is a true partner in every sense of the word.

Christmas Program - Rendering
Dec. 07, 2017
Come and be a part of Rotary history in the making while our local school choir dazzles us with their voices and presentation. A special performance for our Rotary Club, a once in a year experience, so come out and sing. The High School Concert Choir has an International reputation of exemplary excellence. They have had the privilege and honor of performing in eight different countries, England, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Chile, France, Germany and Prague. From Notre Dame, in Paris to St. Peters Basilica in the Vatican, in Rome, our students have left a lasting trail of the Glory of God everywhere they go. The favor of God is on this department in ways that are simply immeasurable. We are blessed to have doors open every year for worldwide opportunities that are life changing and leave a lasting impact on both the students and the audiences. The Concert Choir is regularly invited to perform in prestigious Choral Invitational Festivals throughout Southern California Universities. Our students have the opportunity to work with renowned choral conductors at all of these festivals and are noted for scholarship offers every year. The Concert Choir performs every style of music and is proficient in singing in numerous languages. This is an advanced ensemble that quite often sings collegiate repertoire. We focus on classical music as the foundational cornerstone of our program and as a result, are able to grasp other genres with authenticity and precision. Excellence in vocal production, musicianship and performance technique, are the core to our day to day rehearsal routine, however God is our number one focus. At the very heart of our choir is worship. Again, Jesus Christ is at the center of our very purpose. It is our desire to be atmosphere changers everywhere we sing. If the music has not “moved” us, it will not move the audience. |

Excursion Trip - San Antonio Winery
Dec. 16, 2017
Bring a Holiday Gift to Exchange Please come join our Rotary Club for our Holiday Party & Gift Exchange to be held at the San Antonio Winery on December 16, 2017 from Noon to 4PM. This year we will be combining our Holiday Party with our Gift Exchange. This Event is an extended Rotary event. Join us on a fun filled experience with your Rotarian friends for a spectacular holiday meal at the San Antonio Winery which is the last remaining winery in Downtown Los Angeles, a hidden gem, and a historical landmark operating in the same community where it was founded 100 years ago. In 1910, Santo Cambianica left his home of Berzo San Fermo, located in the northern Italian province of Lombardia. After registering at Ellis Island, he arrived in New York and then traveled across the country to Downtown Los Angeles. He quickly became well known as an honest, hard-working, and deeply devout Catholic, the very same qualities he was known for back home. It took only a few years of saving money, building his relationships, and planting his feet in the Italian-American community to start his own company and live the American Dream. Santo founded the San Antonio Winery in 1917 on Lamar Street, dedicating it to his Patron Saint Anthony. |
