On the morning of June 1, 2020, the Rotary Club of Calabasas stopped by The Sagebrush Cantina on a mission to pick up food items to donate to the Las Virgenes School District. The Rotary Club worked with our friends and partners, The Sagebrush Cantina, to show support to them by purchasing a variety of bread and buns that were in turn donated by the Rotary Club to the Las Virgenes Unified School District.  The bread we delivered and will continue to deliver will be used in the approximately 800 meal boxes provided daily to make sure students in need in the school district do not go hungry.

May 30, 2020.  Another check delivered!  This one from the Rotary Club of Calabasas and the City of Calabasas to the Valley Food Bank, in Pacoima.

May 27, 2020, was the date a $1,000 check was presented to the West Valley Food Pantry, comprised of contributions from both the Rotary Club of Calabasas and the City of Calabasas.

To say they were grateful is an understatement. They are feeding 12,000 families a month! The pictures show the extended storage room prepared for a delivery that would fill the room. The photo of rice shows it is received in bulk which volunteers then separate into smaller bags for distribution to individual families.

In April 2020, an initial quantity of 350 Face Shields was purchased by the Rotary Club of Calabasas for distribution to two local Fire Stations, the Motion Picture and Television Hospital, and West Hills Hospital.
