Thanks to the dedication and efforts of all our Club members, Rotary Club of Calabasas was the proud recipient of FIVE District Awards and TWO Honorable Mentions at the District 5260 Annual meeting in Riverside, on May 14th and 15th. Details, below...
The Rotary Club of Calabasas was the proud recipient of the following Rotary District 5260 Awards for 2009-2010:
- FIRST PRIZE - Overall International, Medium-sized clubs
Qualifying projects included Casa de Paz Orphanage, GSE luncheon, Club sponsorship of GSE representative, Wheelchairs for Haiti, participation in District-wide Haiti fundraiser, Water Purification Indicator (WAPI) project
- FIRST PRIZE - Club Service
Qualifying project: Penny Party
- THIRD PRIZE - Youth
Qualifying project: Casa de Paz Orphanage
- HONORABLE MENTION - Community Service
Qualifying project: Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors
- HONORABLE MENTION - Vocational Service
Qualifying project: Rotarians at Work Day
- PRESIDENTIAL CITATION for completing projects in all Avenues of Service
