Volunteer Assembly Day

The organization is Operation Gratitude,"Thank You" to our Military Heroes" located in Chatsworth.  The organization puts together care packages that are sent to our military heroes.  In the future, there are many opportunities for us to help, in donations and youth community service projects.
On Saturday, Sept 23rd 9:00am - 12:00p, is their 'Assembly Day', where volunteers from everywhere will be there.
All Assembly Days include both “Prep” and “Assembly” work.
  • “Prep” work consists of sorting donated items, folding shirts, screening letters, quality controlling Battalion Buddies, prepping Medallions, and preparing products and the Assembly Line for our Assembly Days.
  • Assembly” work includes production of the care packages, labeling, taping, letter reading and writing, running packages, re-stocking the lines, breaking down cartons and many other tasks.  In addition, if time allows, we will provide instruction and materials for making Paracord ‘Survival’ Bracelets and Battalion Buddies on-site.

– We have seated and standing jobs for everyone on all Volunteer & Assembly Days.

I have registered our club for this day.  If you would like to join us, please let me know by Thursday, Sept 21st, so that I can give them a headcount.  This is a great family volunteer opportunity.  They welcome children ages 12 and older; those ages 12-16 must have a responsible adult with transportation on the premises at all times.
