The Rotary Club of Bishop is proud to announce the May 13, 2014 induction of Victoria Alexander-Lane to their club.  A former Rotarian, Victoria is no stranger to the world of Rotary providing community and local humanitarian service, encouraging high ethical standards and helping build goodwill and peace in the world.  She is looking forward to participating in the club's many community service projects along with continuing helping in the Rotary Polio Plus program, and ambitious program launched in 1985 to immunize the world's children against polio.  Victoria said, "as a result of this partnership's efforts polio cases have dropped by 99 percent since 1988 and the world stands on the threshold of eradicating the disease."  Victoria is the Chief Executive Officer at Northern Inyo Hospital.  She has a CHLC Fellowship and an MBA in Healthcare Administration and has more than 35 years in healthcare experience.  Victoria has served as a leader of small community health delivery system and has said her journey in healthcare includes systems, military and freestanding hospitals both large and small.  She has said "I have been a direct care provider and designed care delivery systems with the vision of a healthier, happy community."  Victoria moved to Bishop just over a month ago.  She and her husband, Ron, are looking forward to enjoying the Eastern Sierra life, fishing and continuing their passion for motorcycles and old cars.  When asked if there was anything else interesting about her, Victoria said she and her husband have ridden their motorcycles cross country several times and is proud to say she has over 44 thousand miles on her "Harley."
