Rotary Club of Bishop Gives to Seniors

Edward Nahin, President of The Rotary Club of Bishop, presented Academic Achievement Awards and Vocational Scholarships to 23 Bishop Union High School Seniors at the Senior Awards, Class of 2008, Wednesday, June 4, 2008.

 

B.U.H.S. Students receiving Academic Achievement awards are:

Ashley Nicole Biehl, $1000.00; Joseph Scott Blumberg, $600.00; Weite "Kevin" Chien, $700.00; Brandon Michael Griffiths, $600.00; Robert Holder, $700.00; Joseph Alexander Pollini, $600.00; Susan Mary Steinwand, $700.00; Lee Ann Jacqueline Sonke, $600.00; Alyse Straub, $700.00; Douglas William Tomczik, $700.00; Thomas Daniel Wiebold, $700.00; Charles Wesley Coufal, $600.00.

B.U.H.S. Students receiving a $500.00 Vocational Scholarship are:

Kelly, Beym, Sonya Bhakta, Galen Thomas Busby, Sabrina Gutierrez, Courtney Nichol Morton, Tia Williamson, Zacharia James McLaughlin, Timothy Ryan McKiernan, Kylie Renee Logan, Joshua Dee Gilpin and Jacob Phil Poirier.

Other High School Seniors receiving $200.00 Academic Achievement Awards are:

Big Pine High School:  Tiffany C. Wilson and Cassidy William Hunt

Lone Pine High School:  Jacob Shill and Jennifer Lutze

Other High School Seniors receiving $500.00 vocational Scholarships are:

Palisade Glacier High School:  Kaysie Louise Gunnoe and Nicole Paulding

Big Pine High School:  Casey Lee Calloway and Christa Davidson

Lone Pine High School:  Andrea Lumpkin

Edward Nahin said it was an honor and privilege to be able to present these awards and scholarships to these seniors and hope it will help them achieve their career goals.
