"How exciting! Winston, Team Miss Vicky and I want to thank all of you for
helping raise $258,593.00 for PolioPlus in Rotary year 2026. At the RI
convention in Taipei two weeks ago, Past RI President Holger Knappe
shared how to visualize THE IMPACT of a fundraiser like Miss Vicky in
down-to-earth terms: Divide the money raised by $0.15, the cost of a
delivered dose of oral polio vaccine. In that case, our nearly $260k
success provides 1,733,333 drops. Give that many drops to 1.7 Million
unvaccinated kids. Since only one of 200 infected children develop
paralysis, dividing 1.7M drops by 200 means 8,667 kids were not
paralyzed by polio. Simple as that! And, yes, we can be proud of the
accomplishment. The three-year window of no paralysis from polio began
May 12th with but 10 cases in 2026, year-to-date. The Miss Vicky 2027
Challenge for PolioPlus has begun and we thank you in advance for your
