The YMCA serves thousands of people every month at their many locations. From their very youngest member being only 6 weeks old and their very eldest being 108 years old! Almost all the members of our club said they had been to at least one location of the YMCA throughout Snohomish County and benefited from the variety of the programs offered at their many locations. Many have brought their families and are now bringing their grandchildren to enjoy the many programs that are offered through the YMCA. There are many ways to access the YMCA - and it is so simple to join. They even have financial assistance to join for those that qualify. Once you become a member of one YMCA then you are a member of all the YMCAs. A variety of programs are offered from swimming lessons for all ages, even a special 2-week program for all 3rd graders, all types of workout classes, open gym, childcare, sports programs and even camp Camp Kasey a property that they recently acquired!
Jamie and Megan were so excited to tell us all about the new opportunities being offered by the YMCA of Stanwood Camano in Arlington with partnerships of the Boys and Girls club and other great partners and stated that they are open to any opportunity to be part of the community. When asked how we as a club could support the YMCA Jamie said they are interested in partnering on projects, ideas or programs and want to know how they can be of assistance to bring even more offerings to the communities they serve. They want to know what the communities they serve want so they can help make those dreams a reality.
The YMCA has been serving our neighboring communities for decades and with open minds and hearts they would like to serve our communities for decades to come with even more options. With so many opportunities there is something for everyone and they continue to expand what they have to offer and bring it even closer to come for us in the community of Arlington. What a wonderful way to bring “Service Above Self” into reality for so many. A giant thanks to the YMCA for all that they do, and we look forward to finding ways to partner with them and help them on future projects.
