CiCi Brown with Grace Connection Services: A Foundation of Support and Recovery

This week at our club meeting, we had the honor of welcoming Cici Brown from Grace Connection Services. Started in 2020 and later licensed by the state of Washington, the organization is committed to changing the world one person at a time by providing foundational support for mental health services.

Grace Connection Services provides supportive housing and employment assistance, helping members secure stable environments and work opportunities. Notable programs include Jonathan's Refuge and Homes of Hope, which are housing solutions for men, and #ExpeditionLivePositive, an outdoor program designed to teach clients positive life strategies.

The organization began its operations in November 2020 and has been dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities, chronic homelessness, or histories of incarceration. They are planning to expand their housing resources by acquiring more property to tailor solutions to individual needs. Staff development is also a priority, with training sessions focused on managing the professional burnout often experienced in this field.

Grace Connection Services now offers free Medicaid services, including large group discussions and therapy sessions. Each client receives an hour of dedicated service per session, ensuring personalized care. In partnership with the Department of Corrections, the organization maintains strict security measures, conducts monthly inspections, and administers random drug tests to ensure community safety and compliance.

Cici's presentation highlighted the significant impact that Grace Connection Services has on improving mental health and community support, inspiring us all to acknowledge and support the critical work they do in fostering positive change within our community.
