Duck Dash 2023 Kick-Off was the topic at the club meeting on March 9. Sponsorship Chairperson Jola Barnett announced a goal of $172,000 for sponsorships. In 2022, the club raised $160,000 in community sponsorships and $200K + in total sales including raffle tickets.

 

 

The Annual Great Stilly Duck Dash on July 4^th was started in 1989, and is the Arlington Rotary Club’s only fundraiser. A community parade, beer garden and other festivities highlight the day.

 

Scholarships for high school seniors at Arlington, Darrington and Lakewood High Schools receive 50% of Duck Dash sponsorship dollars.  In 2020, when the pandemic shut down Duck Dash, the club was still able to raise $60,000 from loyal sponsors and club members.

 

The deadline to secure the 2023 sponsors is April 8^th so that they can be included in the printed materials, on T-Shirts and raffle tickets.

 

In addition to the 15 student scholarships for $5000 awarded annually, Duck Dash proceeds provide funds for grants to the Boy Scouts, Arlington Boys and Girls Club, Stilly Valley Senior Center, Camp Fire, Youth Dynamics, Housing Hope, Arlington Food Bank, Kids Closet and other community organizations.

 

Sponsorship Levels begin at $500-Community Supporter. Other levels are $1000-Bronze, $2500-Silver, $5000-Gold, $10,000-Platinum (Dwayne Lane Automotive has already committed for a Platinum Sponsorship), $15,000- Diamond and $20,000-Double Diamond.
