She's going to Germany--Rotary District 1850

At our evening meeting on May 21, Kevin Raymond introduced Eva Reynolds, a sophomore at Arlington High School, who our club is sponsoring as an International Exchange Student.

Eva will be spending the next school year in Germany, specifically with the Rotary Club of Rotenburg in Rotary District 1850, and she is excited about the cultural exchange. Eva shared personal details, including her family, pets, and her passion for wrestling, track, and animals.  She would like to be a veterinarian someday. She plans to leave for Germany in late July and anticipates homesickness around six months into her stay. Eva expressed gratitude for the support she received, particularly from her German teacher, Herr Ben Mendro, and she looks forward to exploring Germany and pursuing personal growth during her exchange year.

Interestingly, the Rotary Club of Rotenburg, which has celebrated its 50th anniversary, is also known for its duck race.  Check it out on the club's website. by clicking HERE. Different-looking ducks from its website:
