Ryan Brown, Executive Director of LINC NW

In our recent club meeting, we had the privilege of hearing from Ryan Brown, the enthusiastic Executive Director of LINC NW. Ryan shared his passion for fostering community connections and providing crucial support services to families in North Snohomish County.
LINC NW is a pivotal organization in our community, offering a range of services aimed at bolstering family resilience and providing essential support. Their operations encompass everything from basic needs provision to innovative programs like a recording studio, which offers a unique form of expression and engagement for the youth.
Key Initiatives and Programs:
- HOPE Mentoring: This program is dedicated to establishing supportive one-on-one relationships for students, providing them with a stable adult presence aimed at encouraging higher academic and personal achievements.
- Marysville Cold Weather Shelter: Operated by LINC NW, the shelter offers a safe, warm place for the homeless during the harsh winter months from November through March. It operates on nights when temperatures drop to 34 degrees Fahrenheit or lower, located at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
- Mobile and Onsite Support: Ryan emphasized the center's flexibility in providing both onsite and mobile support to meet the diverse needs of children, youth, and families wherever they are in the community.
- Hotel Program: In partnership with LaQuinta, the hotel program offers up to 90 days of stable housing, providing an essential bridge to more permanent solutions for those in need.
Ryan’s dedication to crafting environments that nurture care and support is evident in every aspect of LINC NW's work. In closing, Ryan encouraged our members to consider volunteering their time, particularly in the HOPE Mentoring program, highlighting the significant impact just one hour a week can have on a young person’s life.
Our club is inspired by the meaningful work being done at LINC NW and looks forward to finding ways to support and collaborate with Ryan and his team in the future.
