Jill’s first job was at Jack in the Box, after that she worked at other fast food restaurants until deciding what she wanted to do in life.  It was hard for her because her parents never went to college and never really talked about it.  They didn’t have many other college experiences.  Jill had two other sisters that were in the hair dressing field, so Jill decided to go to cosmetology school.  It was a good decision for her because it taught her well about being in the service industry and gave her something that she can always fall back on.  She has also been able to help people through helping them get haircuts and other things like that.  She was an independent contractor though and didn’t have benefits. She decided to move into an industry that would give her benefits because they wanted to start having children.  She began to think about going into the medical field. 

 

She decided to apply for front desk reception in a Ophthalmology office in Capital Hill. She enjoyed working there starting at the front desk, she moved on to being the manager of the front desk and started doing back office work.  They decided to move north during this time.  They settled in Arlington and she began to look for a new job.  She worked for Dr. Harman for a few years and enjoyed working there.  They began to have more kids and Jill decided to become a stay at home mom.  She was able to work for one of her husband's clients for many years as a stay at home mom and helping the client. 

 

In 1990 Jill decided to get her real estate license.  She thought that she would be able to juggle home and real estate, but it was too much.  She decided to put her license on hold and just focused on her family.  She enjoyed this time with her family.  About 4 years ago Jill decided to go back and get her license again and now does real estate full time.  Now she sells for Windemere in Arlington. 

 

 

Jill doesn’t have a specialty, but loves to work with first time homebuyers.  She enjoys sharing the ins and outs new homes.  She is also moving toward working more with downsizers.  Helping people move out of their big homes, slow down and move into something smaller.  She has also started getting people in touch with organizers and helping them to down size in an organized manner making it less chaotic.  She works in all areas of real estate though.

 

 

 

When Jill is not selling real estate she loves to sew.  She would love to have a full time sewing room where she could keep all of her sewing things out all of the time.  She grew up with her mom teaching her to sew and her mother making most of their clothes.  Jill also loves floral design and interior design.  She also gardens.  They also have a beach house next door to Dave on Camano Island.  It was a great place to have her children grow up at playing, crabbing and having fun. 

 

If you were to ask Jill what the best thing is that people don’t know about her, it is that she is a pool shark.  She grew up playing pool as a child and she is pretty good at it.  She has schooled a few people at the Whitehorse if anyone is interested. 

 

In the future Jill and Brent are looking forward to retirement.  They are starting to downsizing, also.  They are looking at following the sun as they retire.  That is their goal in the next few years, they plan on snow birding and following the sun. 

 

Their daughter’s wedding is their light at the end of the tunnel right now.  January 9, their daughter is planning on getting married in Seattle.  They have had to change plans and they are organizing a wedding that they are looking forward to.
