Well, join us on October 25th as fellow Rotarian, Alan Erickson, will speak on Obstructive Sleep Apnea, its relationship to various health issues, and treatment options.

Sleep Apnea is a potentially life-threating medical disorder that affects the way you sleep, causing abnormal breathing, and may even stop your body’s breathing completely. The muscle in the back of your throat relax during sleep, blocking your airway and often causing loud snoring.

20% of adults are affected by sleep apnea, 85% have never been diagnosed, 20% have increase blood pressure, 28% of men and 24% of women over the age of 65 have sleep apnea.
