Hope UnlimitedJoin us on February 28th as Norma Mouton, director of Hope Unlimited, gives a presentation on her organization and what it is all about. In 1998, Ralph and LeAnn Fry, along with six friends, formed Hope Unlimited with the purpose of helping people in need of comfort, encouragement, and hope. Their first project was to come alongside couples who were needing to replenish the vitality in their relationships and marriages. Soon after moving to North Snohomish County, Ralph and LeAnn felt a need to actively support their community by putting Ralph's training as a fire and police chaplain to immediate use. In 2004, the leadership board of Hope Unlimited responded to the need for an emergency response chaplaincy. In 2005, Stanwood Camano Incident Support (SCIS) was established. Today, it has grown to include many Snohomish County communities and is now known as Northwest Incident Support (NWIS). In 2013, the mission of Hope Unlimited expanded to reach the growing demographic of single-parent families. A new outreach, Single Family Life, became a reality. Dozens of parents have received encouragement and training to ensure a healthy family dynamic.

Workforce Snohomish CountySince its inception, Workforce Snohomish has underpinned the county’s economic foundation by strengthening local businesses, supporting workers, and assisting unemployed residents to find gainful employment. We ensure people have the opportunity to thrive and engage in a vibrant community. As one of the 12 Workforce Development Councils in Washington State, Workforce Snohomish receives federal and private funding to oversee and operate the two WorkSource Centers in the county, located in Everett and Lynnwood. The WorkSource Centers are part of the nationwide American Job Center system offering free services such as: unemployment insurance information; employment related workshops; job fairs and on-site recruiting events; and links to educational and training opportunities. Workforce Snohomish continually seeks out partners to provide services in the WorkSource Centers, ensuring the most comprehensive system possible for county residents. Recognizing that individuals with barriers often need more in-depth support than can be offered at the WorkSource Centers, Workforce Snohomish has developed and implemented direct employment programs to assist those with challenges become financially independent.
