 ember 7 for the annual Rotary District 5050 Foundation Dinner.  Rotarians
  in our District are among the most generous supporters of The Rotary Foun
 dation and leaders in changing the lives of individuals and communities at
  home and around the world.     We have several special guests that wil
 l be joining us\, including Liliana Boulam\, the WHO's Poliovirus Containm
 ent Lead\; and Vicki Puliz\, a current Trustee of The Rotary Foundation\; 
 along with Dean Rohrs\, our District Foundation Chair and past Rotary Inte
 rnational Vice President.    We will also be unveiling a Rotary Peace Po
 le by Rotary Peace Scholar\, Alison McLean\, enjoy music from the Semiahmo
 o High Jazz Band.   Special bonus - take a ride in Miss Vicky by donation
 !  Miss Vicky is a rare 1931 Ford Model A Victoria that completed the gr
 ueling 10\,000-mile Peking-to-Paris Endurance Motor Challenge in 2019 and 
 the Alaska-to-Mexico Marathon in 2023.  Driven by polio warrior and reti
 red ophthalmologist Dr. Lee Harman\, alongside fellow Rotarian Winston Con
 yers\, Miss Vicky tours various Rotary districts to raise awareness and do
 nations.  Through matching grants—including contributions multiplied t
 hrough partnerships like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation—the Miss Vi
 cky Challenge has helped generate over $1.37 million USD for global polio 
 eradication.   Experiences stories about the impact of the Rotary Foundat
 ion and how Rotary’s global network turns local contributions into life-
