SHRED-A-THON 2018 will go down in history as one of the WETEST ever !!!
OH MY GOSH.....We had weather. Lots of people showed up early to set up which was great. Peter went to the lock-up to get our tent, the sun was shining and we said 'thanks Peter for getting it but looks like we won't need'. Peter took off and about 15 minutes later showed up again and said YOU ARE GOING TO NEED THIS TENT.....!!!
There was a line up of cars at 8:15 am waiting for us and the truck to arrive.
We had sprinkles, we had pouring rain, we had hail, we had sunshine ....YEP we had it all......BUT most of all we had very GENEROUS and GRATEFUL residents of Port Moody who were so thankful that we have our SHRED-A-THON.
We could not put on this SHRED-A-THON without the partnership of the
CITY OF PORT MOODY, TRI-CITY NEWS and of course BEST SHREDDING. All do more than their share to make sure we have a successful event so we can help our Community.
We handed out our 'Recruiting Volunteers' cards to everyone who came by and almost 100% of them said 'RIBFEST' we LOVE RIBFEST !!!! ...
All in all we had a great time.....We made a lot of money in 4 hours and our Club is stronger for the bonds we made during this event.
ROTARY CLUB OF PORT MOODY, I for one am VERY PROUD.!!!
